Your Bible Chat ("we", "our", "the Service") is an AI-powered Bible companion available at www.yourbiblechat.com. We designed this Service so you can ask questions and receive scripture-grounded answers without creating an account. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
Questions you ask. When you submit a question (typed or spoken), the text of your question is sent to our server and forwarded to an AI language model service to generate your answer. Questions are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after your answer is delivered.
Voice input. If you use the microphone feature, your speech is converted to text in your browser and handled exactly like a typed question.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and rate-limiting purposes.
We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, payment details (donations are handled entirely by PayPal), or any account information — because there are no accounts.
2. How Your Questions Are Processed
Your questions are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, which forwards them to a third-party AI large language model service. The AI service processes the question to generate a response with relevant Bible verses. We do not use your questions to train AI models, and we do not sell or share your questions with advertisers.
3. Third-Party Services
- AI language model provider — processes your question to generate the biblical answer.
- Cloud hosting provider — serves the website and handles secure network traffic.
- PayPal — if you choose to support us financially, your payment is processed entirely on PayPal's platform under PayPal's own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
- Search engines and analytics — we may use standard, anonymized analytics to understand overall site traffic.
4. Cookies
The core Service does not require cookies to function. We may use minimal, non-identifying cookies or local storage for technical purposes (such as remembering your preferences). Third parties embedded on the page (such as Google Fonts) may set their own cookies under their policies.
5. Data Retention
Questions and answers are not persisted after your session. Technical logs retained by our hosting provider are kept for a limited period for security purposes and are then automatically deleted.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
